Howie - The Perfect House Dog

Hello, my name is Howie and I came to live with my present family in May 1997. Mom originally adopted me out to a very nice family, but they were military and when they moved, they couldn't find an apartment that would take a big dog like me. They called Mom and she took me back to her house. She thought she would adopt me to another nice family because I was such a perfect dog. There was only one small problem - I have epilepsy.

Mom discovered that many people are afraid to adopt a dog with epilepsy which is so ridiculous because they missed getting a great dog like me. I never bark; I am housebroken; I don't get on the furniture; I don't chew things I shouldn't; I am quite a cuddler; and I walk well on a leash. See what I mean - PERFECT DOG!! Well, Mom decided I was so perfect that it really wasn't any trouble at all to have me around so she kept me. She gives me a pill every morning and every night for my epilepsy and things are fine. I haven't had any seizures in almost six months.

I like living with Mom and Dad. I have six brothers and one sister. Usually they are a pretty good bunch to hang out with. Occasionally, they have a little tiff but I just lay low and never get involved. That way I don't have to worry about getting hurt. Besides I'm a lover, not a fighter. Well, got to go now. Time for my pill.
